Curriculum
We use the A Beka Book curriculum. It is a program that teaches students to read at an early age. Your child will receive a truly Christian education- one based on the truth of God’s Word. We have seen that students using this curriculum are more prepared for kindergarten.
In addition to the A Beka Book curriculum the following is a list of what we will teach your child during the year:

- Color recognition: (puzzles, games, and exercises)
- Letter recognition: (learning the alphabet, stories, cards and worksheets)
- Sounds of letters: (phonetic sounds of letters and word recognition)
- Number recognition: 1-100, counting by 5’s and 10’s
- Opposites: both in word and concept
- Reading: (Amber Lamb and Button Bear stories and individual books)
- Handwriting: names and numbers (learn by tracing them)
- Addresses: phone numbers and birthdays
- Shape recognition: (puzzles, games, and exercises)
- Introductory to cooking: (learn to how to cook something along with a story)
- Learning to pray over their meals: (we say a prayer before each meal)
- Bible: (stories and memorizing bible verses for each letter)
- Music: (we sing learning songs every day)
- Computer: (learning the keyboard and learning games)
- Character traits: (honesty, kindness, respect, generosity self-restraint )
- Language skills: (children learn through storytelling, puppet shows and role playing)
